Project Teams

Please see our Instagram (@UABatMSU) for the current Project Based Office Hours

UAB’s membership is free and flexible with opportunities to take on valuable leadership roles.
Members can drop into Project Based office hours to help coordinators prepare for their upcoming event. Sometimes this means gathering supplies, or creating craft kits, or putting 200 ducks on jeeps around campus. it looks different for every group. If you are looking to gain specific skills in event planning, marketing, communication, or leadership in general, dropping into Project Based Office Hours is the perfect option for you!

Types of Project Teams:

Events

The events team plans all the large UAB traditions, like homecoming events and Funn at the Munn. They also plan novelty events, like bidding blitz and cider, donuts, and stargazing.

Outreach and Inclusion

Outreach & Inclusion members partner with affinity based organizations on campus to offer a diverse line up of events, such as the Dia De Los Muertos Celebration.

Music and Arts

The Music team focuses on bringing trendy local bands to campus, hosting open mic night, and anything else related to sound, while the arts team plans events to bring out creative expression, such as tie-dye and craft nights.

Marketing

The marketing team promotes UAB across campus and creates our Aesthetic - anything from capturing the fun we have at events, to buying promotional products, to surprise giveaways on campus.

Chair and Membership

This team focuses on the UAB Experience as a whole. The UAB Chair coordinates partnerships, long-term goals and supports the coordinators. The Membership and Retention Coordinator focuses on the member experience - coordinating event volunteering, volunteer giveaways, and bonding between members.
